So I thought this challenge was going to be an easy one. Boy was I wrong! I came up with two or three different ideas and on the last day of the challenge scrapped everything and wrote this song. I had some help and encouragement from Emily on this one(if you know what I mean!). I found I had a hard time writing a serious Slow Jam so I went the other direction and made it silly. Big surprise huh?
My synthesizer is in the shop and I was hoping it would be done in time for this challenge, but it’s not so I mostly used my trusty Yamaha PSR-500. This is the keyboard my parents gave me for my birthday back in 1993. The sounds are pretty cheesy, but I it has 100 different instrument sounds so usually I can find something that works.
Let me know what you think. Should I continue to write slow jams exclusively or move on to another style?
